CORNERMAN BOOKS is a small press located in Calgary, Alberta

Formed from the ashes of legendary Canadian Prairie indie publisher Coffin Hop Press, CORNERMAN BOOKS is a new, smaller press, designed to only present the finest of fiction in the highest of quality releases.

We enter the publishing landscape by helping to preserve a precious few of the Coffin Hop Press anthologies, namely by acquiring the 2015 weird western anthology TALL TALES OF THE WEIRD WEST, an anthology of wildly bizarre tales of the weird, weird west, featuring stories by Scott S. Phillips, Jackson Lowry (aka Robert E. Vardeman), C. Courtney Joyner, Grady Cole, and the mysterious El Cuchillo.

Also arriving from the CHP vaults is IT’S A WEIRD WINTER WONDERLAND featuring stories from a wide-range of incredible talents, including Steve Brewer, Scott S. Phillips, Will “The Thrill” Viharo, David James Keaton, and Jessica McHugh. Not to mention KNUCKLEHEAD NOIR. 14 Tales of dimwitted criminals and unlucky twits; nimrods, numbskulls and rejects; bumbling sidekicks and idiots-gone-wrong in nasty and irresistible crime stories full of sex, drugs, violence, chaos, mayhem, and the darkest comedy this side of the dirt, starring the likes of Scott S. Phillips, Laurie Zottman, Will “The Thrill” Viharo, Axel How, Craig Faustus Buck and more!

Also coming soon are Author-approved “Director’s Cut” versions of the Crime Writers of Canada Award-nominated detective caper HOT SINATRA and the psychological noir CON MORTE from Coffin Hop founder Axel How; and the classic zombies-in-vegas novella LIVING DEAD AT ZIGFREIDT & ROY by Grady Cole
